PHOTO CLUB at MILE HI

Critiques and Photo Submissions

The Photo Club at Mile Hi performs "Live Adjustments" during the critique portion of our meetings using Adobe Lightroom. We believe that the heart and soul of a photograph is held within the message it conveys. Only the Artist truly knows this message. Our process helps to bind creative thought within a photographic composition and improve understanding of the message while applying on-the-spot editing techniques.

During in-person and Zoom meetings, submitted photographs are viewed and critiqued. A host presents each photo and asks the Artist to provide their objective of their photograph. Comments should be constructive and concise, concentrating on the Artist's stated goals. Discussion goals commonly relate to composition, editing, camera technique and dialogue of the intended message. When possible, critiques include real-time interactive editing by experienced club members. This provides new insight to each observer and promotes growth as Artists.
